A/N: This is the best I could come up with so I hope you like it, Marin. Sorry it took so long to finally post it, I had been having the worst writer’s block.
There they were. Right before me very eyes. The five men who had singlehandedly been ruining and saving my life. The five gorgeous men who I fangirled over in my bedroom back at home, watching their shows and music videos and live performances. And now I was here, looking at them, watching them breath right in front of me. How I had managed to get so lucky, I had no idea. But boy was I not complaining. I took a deep breath when they stepped foot on stage and hadn’t realized I was holding it when I suddenly felt light headed and let out a sigh when the eldest member opened his mouth to introduce themselves.
The roar of the crowd nearly had my ears exploding. I guess it didn’t help that I was screaming just as loud. It was then that I thanked the heavens that the person in front of me was shorter in stature so I could see the beautiful quintet in front of me in all their glory. Kyungil introduced himself first, his husky voice causing swoons to wash over the crowd. His tall frame and lean build was enough to knock most of the fans off their feet but then he spoke and everyone–including me–was about gone after that. The stares he gave everyone made everyone’s cheeks warm and their legs shift under them. And he knew it, too. He knew he was making everyone hot and bothered with just his eyes, smirking at the sound of swoon and a yell “Kyungil saranghae!”. The nerve of him. But even I had to admit, after hearing so much hype about him being the “sexy one” of the group, it was most definitely true, and there was no denying that.
Dokyun was next, and the bloodcurdling scream of adoration I yelled would’ve usually been embarrassing except for the fact that at the moment I didn’t really care. Because all that mattered to me at that second was that he realized how much I loved him. And I think he did, because he instantly smiled that pearly white smile and introduced himself, his voice melting me. Millions of thoughts ran through my head as I watched him speak, the translator’s words getting muddled in my head as all I could think about was how beautiful he looked and how badly I just wanted to touch him. I wanted to hug him and tell him thank you for making me happy. Later, I told myself, that’s what the meet and greet tickets are for.
Somehow I managed to tear my attention away from Dokyun to watch Sihyoung speak. It was hard not to look at him when he was such an attention stealer. He lived for the spotlight, using unexpected aegyo and charm to woo everyone. It was a wonder all of us didn’t leave as Sihyoung stans that day. When he was asked “What’s your favorite a thing about visiting this country?” and he responded so nonchalantly, “You”, I had to take a second to rethink my whole life. And the girl who had asked attracted attention when her legs gave out at her at the sudden explosion of charm from the oh-so attractive man who had acknowledged her. His intense gazes and fan service left everyone on edge. No, seriously, how is he not my bias?
It was Jaeho’s turn and I’m not kidding when I say I actually stopped breathing for a few seconds. After he had introduced himself and his eyes scanned over the crowd–slowly killing everyone he made eye contact with in my opinion–they finally settled on me and he gave a smile. My heart raced unbelievably fast as I glanced behind me to assure he was looking at me. That’s when he chuckled and winked at me. Next thing I knew I was I on the ground, passed out. No, no, just kidding, but I should have been after the way he looked at me. Again, how was I even still breathing?
Sigh, Yijeong. The maknae was full of energy, introducing himself with a nice smile, and it only grew when the fans shouted their admiration for him. But of course, being the maknae, he was still bullied by his hyungs, being pushed back onto the stage to do aegyo and the cutest of dances. And though he seemed embarrassed, it was obvious he was eating up the fans’s love. I’d be lying if I didn’t say my heart fluttered when he giggled into the microphone or smiled so happily at the crowd.
The concert started and went on merrily. The fans sang along to the songs, word-for-word, which seemed to make the boys happy as they couldn’t hide their smiles. Their dancing was impeccable and their vocals were worth every penny for the tickets. The genuine looks of gratitude on their faces were enough to make me happy, knowing that their hard work had paid off.
When the concert wrapped up and most of the crowd had dwindled, those of us that we’re lucky enough to get meet and greet tickets were in line to see the boys. My heart pounded so hard at one point I couldn’t hear myself think. I was second in line, gushing with the girls around me about meeting them. They had looked so beautiful on stage, I could only imagine how much better they looked up close with only a few feet separating us. And suddenly there they were. For the nth time it seemed my breath hitched. I made eye contact with them and my cheeks were on fire.
We were instructed to be in groups, some kneeling, some standing. I was on my knees on the floor, not complaining when five of the world’s most gorgeous men were behind me. I hadn’t been paying attention–my mistake–to who was behind me at the time but I felt someone’s hands on my head. When the picture was taken we all stood up and in a muddled group I somehow made my way down the line, first at Sihyoung, thanking them all for their hard work. Jaeho held my hand a little longer than the others, even repeating a thank you back to me, making me blush. It took all of me not to collapse right then and there. So I moved down until I finally came to Dokyun. And I tried my absolute best not to cry. He outstretched his hand and politely nodded his head just as everyone else had. But I didn’t say thank you. I said I love you. And the eye smile that lit up his face nearly had me fainting. The small laugh and the soft thank you I got in response sent me on cloud nine. I kept stealing glances back at them as we were escorted out of the venue, Dokyun waving and smiling at me. And–call me crazy–I swore I saw Jaeho glance at Dokyun with an unreadable expression. Perhaps he didn’t like that I was a Dokyun stan. Don’t be stupid, I reminded myself. I took a deep breath and barely heard half the stuff my friends said as we walked back to the car. My chest ached from the sudden post-concert depression. That was quicker than I expected, I thought solemnly. But one thing was for sure, I wouldn’t love another group as much as I would love them.
