Don occasionally babysits his nieces and nephews when Tanya needs to leave town or just needs a night to herself. They usually end up building mattress and pillow forts in the living room and eating way too much junk food. Tanya usually remarks on how well they all sleep the day after.
Don doesn't mind the darkness so much. When it's dark out, it's never truly dark, not with all the bright lights of the city. The only unfortunate thing to him is the temperature change, but hey, that's what layers are for, right?
Kit tries to call her folks at least once every couple weeks. Those that she doesn't call (her sisters are pretty widespread), she'll send postcards to once a month or so.
Kit isn't a fan of any sort of sensory deprivation, so she doesn't like not being able to see in the dark. Thankfully, Mork and Jules are able to give off a small amount of light, and Kit always has a flashlight on her if she anticipates delving into some ruins, so the darkness isn't too huge an issue for her.
