WIP WEDNESDAY
in celebration of Soulless God basically exploding and jumping up by over 200 hits (its now my 2nd most hit fic ever!), here is a clip of Don and Loki (in her fem form in this fic), dancing at Randall’s 55th birthday party (Randall is an OC i created as Don’s boss/friend)!!!
…
The music emanating from the tent lilted and swelled, transitioning into an even dreamier melody that made Don physically shiver.
Loki was unfamiliar with earthen favourites, but she could read the nostalgia and enjoyment in Don’s eyes as he cast a look to the tent.
“It’s really the perfect song for dancing with a Lady as ethereal as you,” Don smiled.
“You flatter me,” Loki’s thumb revisited the path she had drawn invisibly across his face.
“I mean it,” Don said fervently, “Prince or Princess of Asgard, monarch or otherwise, you’re just…untouchable.”
Loki pressed herself close to Don, his warmth cradling her nervous system.
They near floated through the grass together, her dress brushing the sleeping flowers that had closed their petals for the night.
Lazily, fireflies dipped and rose around them, a pond on the estate contributing the ambient croaks of content frogs and the chirrups of excited crickets.
“You are doing a very good job of touching me right now,” Loki whispered.
Don’s hands were smoothing the material of her dress against the centre of her back, perfectly gentlemanly and eliciting rushes of an electrical fizz down her spine.
“Irreplacable then,” Don leaned close, brushing his nose against hers, “How ‘bout that?”
Loki let her eyes dip, watching the words leave Don’s lips. She brushed her own elegant nose back against his and brought her arms up from his back, laying her hands at the nape of Don’s neck.
“Irreplacable…I can honestly say no one has described me that way before,” Loki murmured.
