My brother who has lived abroad for a long time now is visiting the country, and the first thing he tells me when says he wants to catch up on the phone is “yeah I was staying at mom’s place but [other brother], who lives there as well, kicked me out, even called the cops the moment I dared him to try and kick me out himself”, which I fully believe because he’s definitely the kind to merit that kind of hostility and the other brother is definitely the kind to call the cops on his own brother so he leaves his mom’s home.
