It’s stated that Shoto is the child of a Frost Demon and a Fire Demon, I’m assuming those are Rei and Enji respectively

Are they full on demons, or are they sort of like Tieflings where an ancestor made a deal of some kind with a demon and now they descendants have demon power?

Okay, I can't seem to get into drabble mode so I'll do a bit of musing and hope that some of you might enter into a bit of philosophical discourse with me... Is it my imagination or is Edward Tyneman more of a plot contrivance than an actual developing character?? The man goes from convicted seedy pornographer to suspected murderer with severe OCD to "somewhat" successful newspaper tycoon!! It's as if the writers fall back on Edward Tyneman any time they a character for a "bit part" to move the story along. Does anyone out there have a differing opinion?
