I've moved stores, gone back to my first love of community theatre, and finally had my foot surgery. I am currently in month 4 of my supposed 3 months off work... Surgery went well, the foot was more damaged than they could see on the MRI and it was a very big surgery to begin with, so its taking a long time to heal. I may even be out of the moon boot indefinitely by the end of the week🤞

If you need an update of where we're at, which, fair, I'd suggest re-reading the previous two chapters.

I'd love to hear your comments or any thoughts you might have, I honestly have been working on this story and am just struggling with the timelines of things but I do have up to chapter 34 written, in bits and pieces. It's now just making sure all those bits and pieces are joined together seamlessly and make sense within the timeline of events. Also it's been so long since I've written or had to use my brain like this I typed the word phone the other day as "fown" 🤦‍♀️

Covid has completely kicked my arse this last week, but I’m starting to feel better and able to catch up here, properly, rather than just sleeping or being slumped in front of the TV. And what a day to come back, with all the ACGAS news! So happy to have a date: just another fortnight to go! And the pics! Much excitement. Got a lot of fic to catch up with, too.

Also found a new obsession in The Doctor Blake Mysteries (Lucien and Jean really are the 1950s Australian Siegfried and Audrey, except with murder. And way more drama). Years later than everyone else, it seems. (Spoilers below if you haven’t watched).

Apparently it was shown over here on the BBC, but I completely missed it. But I’m not going to watch the last telemovie they made, Ghost Stories. I do completely understand why they went ahead with it, because it was people’s jobs. As with the series, I’ve only just found out what happened, and I’d rather end it with Family Portrait. Lucien and Jean deserved their happy ending. I just feel like it’s unnecessarily cruel to Jean to have her lose one husband, spend years alone, turn down Robert (rightly so) because he wasn’t right for her even though she was scared he could be her last chance at not ending up alone, and then finally find love again with Lucien only to lose him so soon after they married (and they went through so much to get there). I know he was written as missing, so I don’t know what they were planning to do eventually if the show wasn’t cancelled, because I can see CM was eventually cleared, but I just can’t bring myself to watch it. Not many of my ships get together, so I’m going to ignore Ghost Stories for my poor heart’s sake, as a treat. They got married, spent four months away on a wonderful honeymoon (that we didn’t get to see any of - rude 😆), they got back, so very happy, the end. It ties up nicely there, anyway, luckily.

I never thought I could love a "housekeeper ship" or possibly any ship more than this pair. It was this moment right here that sealed the deal for me...

Then I started watching ACGAS and fell in love with these two from the very first episode. I mean, how could I not ship them after this scene...

But then once again, and very late to the game this time, I discovered The Doctor Blake Mysteries and what do you know, I'm suddenly falling down that rabbit hole of the beautiful housekeeper and her slightly grumpy/eccentric man again.

Two out of three ain't bad, still living in hope that ACGAS might make it three out of three in the coming series. 🙏🏻 They are meant to be together.

Anyone recommend any others I might fall for?
