desc. is a universe where the classic “heroes” are a lot more complex and messier and darker - it’s different from the original lore and it does drastically change how a number of beloved characters act and think. ak parents can be just as neglecting ( whether it’s intentional or not is circumstantial ), it’s just hidden behind closed doors as most of what the public sees is purely a story to make this “perfect” world really seem perfect and pristine, and that these families are all happy and sunshine and rainbows. auradon has a secret and it’s that it’s really not a happy place full of happy people, just an illusion of one. if everyone in auradon was as good as their original lore, the isle wouldn’t have been created. the isle was created because enough of these royals grouped together and made a decision. good people can do bad things. good people can do bad things out of fear and misguided paths to justice. and nobody in auradon is exempt from this.
