Easter Saturday: A Rainy Gallery Day
We’ve had miserable weather this afternoon, so I’ve been to check out the new exhibition at the Zabludowicz Gallery, which opened on Thursday. The last few shows they have put on have been really interesting and topical, so I hoped this one would follow in that pattern. The show is called Emotional Supply Chains and features artworks which explore how we deal with our identities in a digital age. They presented a mixture of film, sculpture and installation throughout several rooms. The Zabludowicz is an incredible space: an old converted church on two levels, and the effect of these big screens and huge sculptures in the space was stunning. The work itself was bold, thoughtful and provocative – I came out reflecting on the ethics of relating to others in an online era. Whenever the next grey day crops up, I’ll be sure to return to have another look and mull it over again!
The show runs until the 17th of July and has free entry - it’s one not to miss!
