{TB Exclusive} Takashige Ichise Developing Drug-Fueled Horror Film "Coil"

Takashige Ichise is developing the horror film COIL, based on the graphic novel that he wrote and James Farrillustrated. The story centers on an academic who, following the death of his wife, begins experimenting with a drug called Coil that he believes will give him access to the Middle Ground, a spirit realm where living and dead meet. As he falls deeper under the drug’s spell, however, it begins to have side effects in the real world, and the malevolent inhabitants of the Middle Ground spill out into the world of the living. Ichise is producing through his Ozla Productionsbanner, with Radical Studios (which published the novel) also on board. Amanda Mortlock is overseeing the project for Radical.
