Apart fr the exhibitions mentioned in the article he has actually been getting a lot of exposure in Europe @lucegallery in Torino in June where Amoako’s works sold yet again before the show opened and during @berlinartweek 2 exhibitions opened @galerie_crone Berlin Sep.10 - Nov.10 same thing there & at The Miettinen Collection / @SalonDahlmann Foundation Berlin Sep.12 until Dec.31 showing 10 beautiful works. Amoako is also part of their permanent collection. He is also in 5 very prominent Scandinavian collections including the #Skarstedt Family collection. @museum_of_now also in Berlin showed 4 works by Amoako in their recent exhibition in October. This summer Amoako was awarded the 2019 @STRABAG_official Artaward International. Presented since 1994, the award is one of the most highly endowed private art prizes in Austria for artists under the age of 40 working in the fields of painting & drawing. Jurors include Yilmaz Dziewior (Director Museum Ludwig, Cologne), Ulrike Groos (Director Kunstmuseum, Stuttgart) & Krist Gruijthuijsen (Director KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin), among others. The #StrabagArtAward also includes a large solo exhibition at the @STRABAG_KunstForum in Vienna, the opening which I had the pleasure to attend Oct.10 w much fanfare & great press coverage both in print media, front page & evening headline news on ORF, the main Austrian TV channel. @artbasel also recently listed Amoako’s work as the artist amongst 7 artists shaking up 21st century painting.
