You may have decided that Monday morning was a little cold to get out on the pavement and walk for peace or stand in view of the Martin Luther King Jr Day Parade in Ward 8. It was real cold...but not cold enough to miss my brother, friend, and former schoolmate as he served as one of the Grand Marshals for the parade. I was able to the witness the true power of Community and Relationships. @mrtonylewis deserves more of his peers to be in support of his work PHYSICALLY...not in spirit...by having PRESENCE at his programs and helping to find more opportunities for his voice to be heard...tagging #DCorNOTHING on social media doesn’t make us a supporter...the perils of our city rely on ACTION...All of Tony’s adulthood has been spent serving and has culminated into the position he is in right now...It has not been overnight and by no means has it been easy...out of respect for his work, his education, his time, and his Family...WE NEED TO DO MORE...please start by encouraging him when you see him and tell him to KEEP GOING...it’s hard to continuously sacrifice for others when nobody (not enough) stands at your back to sacrifice for you...so I humbly ask for a little Reciprocity, Prayer, and LOVE for THE SON of the District of Columbia... #Slugg #TonyLewisJr #DontGetTaken #MomentumShift #MiltonYatesLifestyle #MYWEBco #DCorNOTHING #SOLID2018 #SupportbySharing (at The Big Chair)
