Hi! I hope you’ll forgive me answering this publicly as I want to be as transparent as possible. I’ve been getting more and more submissions lately, which is great, but I want to make sure everyone knows my process!
This blog runs on a queue unless I get caught up in something and end up live blogging it. Trial and error has shown me that I can keep up with 5 posts a day and keep things running smoothly when I’m not getting submissions. Submissions always make it easier to fill the queue!
Right now, there are 96 posts in the queue. At 5 posts a day, that’s a little over two weeks worth of posts! It was recently up to 3 weeks when I got a large batch of submissions at once! So if your submission hasn’t been posted yet, don’t worry, it is coming up! To the asker of this particular ask, I just checked and yours is indeed in the queue, so I did receive it.
Assuming that Tumblr doesn’t eat your submission (it happens sometimes) the only reasons I won’t publish are: 1. The picture is blurry/grainy enough that I can’t identify the subject 2. The animal is clearly in pain or danger according to my judgement 3. I can tell from the quick preview I get hovering over a blog title that its entirely devoted to nsfw content or something that I find uncomfortable (I deleted one from a pro anorexia blog, a personal trigger of mine). I don’t dig through any blogs or give them more than a glance so I don’t otherwise vet them. I’m also willing to post an anonymous submission if you’re a NSFW blog and really want to share.
