Doodlecember Day 1 - Warmth/Layers

Got some acrylic markers recently and I really like the sensory experience of using them, so I decided to do @doodlecember just to play around with them. Between winter and an exhausting new job, I can't seem to keep focus on anything for long, so this is just a bite-sized little artistic outlet to stop the brain gremlins from running too rampant.

I can't tell if the crusty quality of this photo is because of my dingy phone, or tumblr's habit of obliterating quality, but OH WELL. Good enough for government work.

If I were to create a "Doodlecember" prompts list/challenge thingy, would anybody be interested in doing it? The idea would be something like "one 30-minute maximum character doodle per day in the month of december" with an emphasis on sketching & practice rather than creating full art pieces.

I originally came up with the idea because there are some songs and characters I really want to make an animatic to but drawing so many frames... always intimidates me before I get too far.

Anyway, depending on how many people are interested in joining me I might either just post a prompt list here, or make a sideblog shebang for it. ^.^
