june update

short one for today LOL; it's been a bit of a slow past couple of months for me as you may have surmised, but now. it is pride month (which always sneaks up on me somehow), and you know i can't let pride month happen without drawing at least three gayass pieces of art

i have quite a couple little plans of things i wanna possibly take a crack at this month, but seeing as i have quite a few fandoms tis the season to make some noise if you wish to see some gayass blorbos i don't get to as often as you'd like; also, in the meantime, my commissions are still open! part of why it's been a wee slow for me is because i'm presently in between jobs, and have been for a few months, and thusly any help would be much appreciated ^^'

thus endeth inscryptober for the year! posted about a bit late bc ya boi is still sick lol

everyone had such great artwork this year!! i think we might have had our most consistently high turnout yet and i couldn't be happier :3 inscryption may be three years old but it's lovely to see that we've still got a strong, talented community with the drive to create

shoutout to all the amazing artists that put stuff out this month; i'll be doing a bit more reblogging later this evening to catch up on my favorites, but for anything i miss i highly recommend everyone go check out the inscryptober tag! it's looking better than ever in there and everyone's work absolutely deserves your attention ^^

~september update~

hi everyone! it is time for another blog update! so let's run through some new stuff since my last post hoohoo

OLD_FOLKS HOME chapter 26 is up if you missed it! this one's the conclusion to the grandkid deathmatch arc, and i'm pretty happy with it! i've also been getting some lovely feedback on it so far so thank you :3 you can read it right here!

i finished my latest shovel knight board, the claws of fate! i spent a lot of time polishing this one, and i'm super happy with how it came out; you can check it out here on my blog, or on youtube right here!

as a reminder, i have an OC sideblog over on @detercade! i just finished a super cool comic project for one of my characters that i'm very proud of, so if it strikes your fancy you can go check it out right here!

now for upcoming projects:

i will be focusing on updating my shop this month! so keep an eye out because i will be brainstorming designs, running polls on what you guys would be interested in buying, etc. i'm pretty excited about it!

i've already cracked into OFH chapter 27! i'm already very excited for the direction the fic is going heading into the next act; if i were to throw out a prediction i'd say it's coming out early next month ^^

august blog update!!

hey guys! sorry it's been so quiet around here for the past month or so, artfight ended up being super busy! i've also been busy with a lot of other stuff...

most importantly, i have an OC blog now! if you guys have seen any of my OCs through artfight and want to see more about them, or you're just curious what non-fanart stuff from me looks like, i'm going to start posting there over the next few days! most of my artfight attacks from this year will be going up there ^^ the blog is @detercade

i have started writing OFH chapter 26! with any luck it should be out by the end of the month

i am working on a new small boarding project to get back into practice! it's the next in my little shovel knight series so get hyped hoohoo

i am planning on adding a couple more things to my etsy shop this month! my prints are still up for grabs over there until then ^^

hey gang!

time once more for an epic update on what i've been up to and what to expect in the future

kicking things off with a bang, OLD_FOLKS HOME chapter 23 is officially up! in the past i've said that i was going to wait on posting this arc until i'm fully done writing it, but it's taking longer than i expected and thusly i've grown terribly impatient. the first two chapters of the four i planned to finish are already done, with the third well into production; i'll be promo-ing chapter 23 properly later but for now go have a look-see! enjoy it!

as implied by a recent post, i'm working on some shovel knight boards! i expected to have them done by now so they might take a second to get done but i already really like how they're lookin

commissions are still open! i did a few recently that i really enjoyed and would love to do some more; you can find my comm sheet right here!

scrybe prints are still available! grab 'em on my etsy if you like, should be updating the listing for international shipping soon as well hoohoo

and finally, some personal news that's probably gonna affect my output over the next couple months: i recently got a storyboarding internship! i'm very excited about it ^^ i'm not quite sure how it'll impact my productivity on personal projects yet, but if my output around here starts slowing down a bit that'll be why lol

it's been a while but i just wanted to sort out my progress on everything i'm working on rn ^^ especially since i've been getting quite a few new followers recently! welcome welcome to you all btw, i'm super happy to have you here ^w^

OLD_FOLKS HOME: as you might expect i've had a bit of trouble getting back into writing for OFH, but i'm finally on my way! chapter 23 is fully drafted save for some minor edits, and i've just cracked into chapter 24. the tournament arc will be four chapters in total, and once those are done i'll drop them on a biweekly basis! thanks so much for your patience on OFH, it's far outgrown its original scope but i truly do love working on it and can't wait to show you guys all my ideas ^^ if you've not checked out OFH or if you wanna catch up, now's a great time to do so! you can find it right here on ao3: [Link]

Storyboards: i'm on my way to being finished with a pretty big inscryption-based storyboard project! it's about as long as the digital affection animatic, but it's far more silly than cinematic. with any luck i'll have it out by next month! i'll be dropping it on youtube first, so if you'd like to subscribe or otherwise keep an eye on my channel for that you can head over to my channel right here: [Link]

Misc: Until these projects are done (especially the boards), it's gonna be mostly sketches on the blog proper! i've been in a massive scrybeswap mood lately so that won't change anytime soon, but you can also expect some retyrement and maybe a couple wildcards here and there; hope you enjoy every silly lil doodle i throw up here! i certainly enjoy sharing them haha
