Definition: It is a noun describing the state of being half-asleep, drowsy, or in a "semi-conscious" state.

Dormiveglia is an Italian term for the tranquil, semiconscious state between waking and sleeping, often described as a "sleep-wake" or twilight, dreamy state. Derived from dormi (sleep) and veglia (wake), it represents the drowsy, half-conscious moment before waking or falling asleep.

You know what fucks me up? Iedolas really loved his wife and son so much. And Ardyn took advantage of it by selling the idea of “Wouldn’t it be nice if your loved ones didn’t have to die from petty illnesses?”. Iedolas just lost his wife (died of childbirth) when Verstael insisted him to meet with Ardyn.

Adding this up with the scrapped concept of Prince Niflheim who was supposed to lead the charge to put down Leviathan and dying in Altissia, there’s an additional reason for Gralea suddenly falling apart. Iedolas lost his son and it throws him into severe depression, making him very vulnerable to Ardyn’s take over and unleashing the starscourge in the Magitek labs.

So I conclude that Iedolas and Regis mirrored each other’s fate. Though in Iedolas’ case it’s his grand daughter that he hid and sent away from Gralea.
