The Double RL Ranch by Guy Schmickle Via Flickr: The Double RL Ranch is a 17,000 acre working ranch owned by Ralph Lauren in southwest Colorado. This huge property has some of the best views one could ever imagine of rugged Mt. Sneffels and its namesake range. Fortunately, there is a public county road (CR 9) that bisects the ranch and allows anyone to drive through it and take in the views (just don't wander off the road...they don't take kindly to it, understandably). I was surprised to see a number of hay bales still present in the fields during the height of fall colors (usually they collect them earlier), so I couldn't resist snapping a picture of the scene. Mt. Sneffels is on the far right.

Via Flickr: This trip so far has been incredible. The colors haven't been up to par, but either way I am exploring more of Colorado then when I grew up here. I never would have thought southern Colorado was so beautiful, so many spots to see! Natalia Stone and I have been car camping for the past week, shooting every sunset, sunrise days and nights. We did a pretty intense bushwhacking hike yesterday which we came down at night too, after getting some sunset and Milky Way over Courthouse Mountain. Then headed back over this area for blue hour and sunrise. Decided to process one while we take a break at this awesome coffee shop in Ridgeway. This is back on County Road 9 a few miles past Double RL Ranch.
