The fall is finally here and there is one item in particular that I can't wait to throwback into my wardrobe rotation.  That particular piece would be the Peacoat. One of my favorite aspects of design when it comes to menswear is that almost all of menswear design, excluding the more fashion forward, can be boiled down to a derivitive of "the uniform."  Whether scolastic, military, or professional, odds are your favorite wardrobe pieces can trace their ancestry to some type of uniform. I am constantly innamored with the way designers consistently update these classic pieces against the silouhette restrictions of the male form. Whether it be by cut, fabric, or detail we are seeing some great twists on the classic Naval Peacoat this season. During these winter months we are all looking to stay warm while not having to sacrifice our comfort. One reason I am an advocate of the peacoat is due to its Double Breasted front. The same slimming properties of a properly fitting Double Breasted Sportcoat also apply to the  Peacoat, and are even more so accentuated by its cropped length.  Also allowing for more freedom of movement, unlike its cousins of the more overcoat/bridge coat variety, making it a perfect top layer in the hard weather months to come. For these reasons the Peacoat has been a staple choice in the wardrobe of Sartorial Editors and stylish celebrities alike;  making it seem as if you just got back from the docks after a 3 month tour with pay in hand and are ready to take your girl out to a nice dinner, and you'll even let her pick, as long as she doesn't want Sushi because you were just on a boat for 3 months, and all you ate was fucking fish... And that's a pretty cool look to have.

Yea, so COPP one I guess...like this BoO from Mr. Porter, and start struttin' around like you got an anchor in those cuffed up chinos, which I'm gonna guess are Gio's you steezy son of a bitch.
