the classic bicycle shop

Upon walking into the classic bicycle store on Grey street in St Kilda I was pleased to see the effort, owner Richard Wierzbinski, takes in the store and its brand. Despite the somewhat chaotic way in which the store presents, it is clear that every aspect has been well thought out. An eclectic mix of old cycling trinkets and framed photos cover every square inch of the walls leaving a clean floor space where his gleaming replica pre war beauties take centre stage. Even the mechanic was playing his part. Cheerfully greeting me from the workshop sporting a leather apron and a white shirt. Which was, impressively, still white with the cuffs neatly rolled. A sign of a seasoned craftsman.
