“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

She kept her tone polite but clipped, ears flicking as sharp gold eyes focused on his face. From her spot on the roof, she’d been expecting one of them might find her, but a game of twenty questions wasn’t exactly what she thought that would entail. Searching his face for a moment, she sniffed and looked away, bushy tail curling a little tighter around her feet.

It had to be tonight, didn’t it? Beyond the Foot Clan, she had few memories of her past or how she came to be what she was. Getting out to think on her own, reflect on what she was and why... it was almost a personal meditation.

But then here was one of those turtles. A fox just couldn’t catch a break some nights. Sniffing, she turned her head away, gaze shifting up to the moon.

“I’m not in the mood for a fight right now, and I’d like to think you won’t pick one just for fun. So why don’t you leave and we’ll pretend like this whole encounter never happened.”

NEW YORK WASN'T EVEN AS amazing & beautiful as every tourist described. karai was pretty underwhelmed the mere SECOND she landed here. sure, at night times square was nicely lit up. the view from empire state building wasn’t so bad — but it still had NOTHING on tokyo. & don’t even get her started on the SMELL.

—- - Samus leans back in her chair, having a sip of a cup of coffee she’d purchased at the small establishment she was seated in- before a sudden outcry across the street caught her attention. In the dead of night, deep into an alleyway, someone was being mugged. Samus furrows her brow, before setting down her coffee and leaping out of her seat. She wouldn’t need the power suit for this. 

—- - It was just some schmuck trying to take advantage of someone- no space pirates in New York, on Earth.
