I think they're stereotypes but I agree with you.

so what’s the difference?

would a gender stereotype be: dressing little girls in pink and boys in blue, buying girls dolls and buying guys?

and a gender role be: the man making the money and the woman cooking and raising the kids?

cause they seem to overlap

Ohh yes! I've actually eaten there before. I had the salad and it wasn't that bad. It's not really fancy. It's more like a lunch spot. I don't wanna be that overly dressed up person at the restaurant. Lol. Thank You tho.

nah, they're both black. the one white lady at my job, though, insists on telling me the intimate details of her legal struggle with her landlord and makes me make copies of her legal docs and whatnot. 

i think people just like telling me things? idk, i've had complete strangers tell me all about their lives and problems unprompted because i might've said hi or something.
