On the one hand, Friedman is said to be a thoughtful commentator, praising movements within the Gulf States to normalise relations with Israel.
On the other hand, Dr. Bard argues, Friedman promotes failed tactics in the ongoing conflict. Such tactics would undermine Israel’s negotiating position and privilege the Palestinian veto on such negotiations.
