With me drawing Gentotsu-inchou/Dr. Limit Break yesterday, I have now drawn all of the weird cyborg doctor ghosts currently in Yokai Watch! A bold achievement if I do say so myself.

Here's all of them side-by-side to show that yes, I care enough to draw them all differently. (The Maddiman one inked and background'd by @cyboarnetic )

Two Yokai Watch characters whom I’m calling “Kagemura Reiji” and “Kagemura Yoshirō”.

I guess for the English localized version, I’d probably call them “Hector Nocturne” and “Frank Nocturne”.

Another drawing of my own take on Dr. Nogut. I like it a bit more than my first attempt, way back. And yet, I never posted it here.

I made this in October of 2017.

"That's real rich, kid. Reeeeal rich. Did my loser son send you down here to teach me a lesson?" Happy Friday the 13th! Here’s my version of Dr. Nogut from Yo-Kai Watch! Unlike Dr. Maddiman, Nogut has absolutely zero regrets about anything he’s done and views the world with a detached, steely malice. He’s also Maddiman’s dad and is a liiiittle upset that his beloved hospital fell to ruin under his worthless son’s care. Also credit to kaialone for the pocket watch heart idea.

Been doodling, trying to figure out how to make Dr. Nogut look a little different from Dr. Maddiman, cause that’s fun, and randomly had the idea of him having a smaller heart that is attached to him like a pocket watch?

I feel like maybe this makes him a bit too different, but on the other hand I really kinda dig that look on him.

One of the things I really enjoy about Yokai Watch fanart is when an artist makes the recolors (a staple in this series) visually different from their counterpart so I thought, why not do that with the two scary doctors, especially considering the changes I made to Nogut’s design and backstory in this picture. The scary cyclops on the left is Dr. Maddiman, the ghost of the hospital director of Nocturne Hospital that let it fall to ruin. In trying to take over the world to keep his wife and son safe, he overworked himself to death. He’s kind of a wreck. The even scarier cyclops on the right is Dr. Nogut. He saw Nocturne Hospital be built and was the original hospital director until he died after a patient he was experimenting on fought back. He had hoped his son would take over the family business; instead his son ended up having the hospital fall to disrepair. Not that he can do much about it; he’s currently locked in the Infinite Inferno for “crimes against humanity”. In other words, they’re a fun happy father/son duo and I’m sure there’s no hard feelings between the two, especially when Nogut’s pride and joy is now abandoned ruins...
