if only i could
convey my mind, i’m nothing without you my baby
two boys in love during the winter holiday. 2gu.
winter is harsh this year, heaps of snow falling to the ground. hyunggu stares through the window, getting a clear view of the outside of the kang family home as more of the white fluff continues to float down from the gray sky above. christmas is around the corner, and like every break, he’s brought changgu home to spend it with his family.
“the tree has enough decorations, don’t you think? it looks like it’ll tip any minute.” he muses, turning towards the heavily decorative evergreen fir tree his father had brought home a few weeks earlier. changgu scoffs back at him, wand waving in the air. that’s why magic exists, is his enthusiastic reply.
to be honest, seeing the other so jolly about the holiday season makes his heart swell with emotion. he’d pay to see changgu living his best life like that for an entire 100 years if he could. he strides over to where he is, swipes his wand away, placing it on the sofa nearby, and takes both of his hands in his, softly pressing kisses onto his knuckles.
“are you happy, hyung?”
changgu merely smiles fondly, “always.”
“do i make you content?”
“every breathing moment with you makes my life worth it, hyunggu, i’d search for you even in another lifetime.”
changgu kisses him slowly before pulling away, cheeks as bright red as rudolph’s red nose. hyunggu tilts his head, taking a good look at how cute the other is when he becomes flustered. it’s not until he gets playfully shoved that he snaps out of his trance.
“help me place the presents under the tree. we can be mushy later over cups of cocoa!”
the grumpy, whiny younger boy ultimately obeys.
yeo changgu is the biggest gift he could ask for. every christmas, more like every day, is a blessing with him by his side.
