Hi um I just saw your awesome post listing all the Marvel 'back in the day' memes and... Tom Hiddleston and a Loki RP convo over twitter? Do the tweets still exist? What exactly happened?!

Oh lordy, that was a thing of beauty.

Way back in yonder year of 2011, Tom had tweeted about a really good round of archery practice he’d just done. A Loki RP Twitter account replied to the tweet...and then Tom replied back. They had a little back-and-forth of Loki-isms and it wound up going viral in the fandom. It was all in good fun, and one of the things Tom tweeted was “I DO WHAT I WANT,” in reference to an old Silver Age comic with Thor and Loki. The phrase stuck :) I’m sure the tweets still exist on Twitter proper, but here’s a screencapped version with artist’s rendition (it’s a little tricky because it needs to be read from the bottom up, but the whole convo is there).

As an added bonus, they actually did meet each other IRL once.
