Since 6th grade, I have done every show my district preformed. Now, seven years and ten shows later, after doing both cast and crew; I stood on that stage and took my final bow.
I went in a kid, and came out an adult. When you swing your arms in the air with your darling, and with the people you've known since elementary in one final act of hurrah, you can't help but cry. Even though I was never anyone important.
Something compelled me to listen to 'My Way' by Frank Sinatra while I made this bow, and it broke my heart to turn back to my friends and be hugged so fiercely as the crux of the song played.
Thank you to every friend, director, crew member, cast mate, sound person, techie, sponsor and who ever else it concerns. You changed lives.
