Adaptations. We were asked to create an artwork/s based on sound from a list of 27 random exerts of songs, spoken word, speeches, ambient noises etc. and show our reaction to them/it. After listening to all of them, I was most drawn to the sounds that irritated me because I couldn't seem to escape them. After hearing one, it seemed like every second sound was a screeching noise of some kind. I wanted to contrast this sound and how I felt listening to it with a peaceful sound of outdoors of some kind. I decided on track 9 and track 27 as the contrast.
