Snotlout bragging to Mewgull
tl;dr A synopsis of how Snotlout and Mewgull met and got to know each other before they started dating. I've been shipping these two since I first read the book and refuse to split them up despite what happens in the books ;w; I dont got the heart
Mewgull wasn't sure if she should like Snotlout or not when they met at Thors'day Thursday. Gladly full of himself and flaunting every success he had, you think he wouldn't care for anyone other himself BUT....Well, actually, you're right, he didn't. Snotface Snotlout was a pig nosed jerk. He'd poke fun at Mewgull, but she never really showed any response to his taunts. It was hard to tell if she was ignoring him or just didn't care. She hardly said a peep! Overtime, he started to enjoy her company because she listened and believed almost whatever he said. She was weird but the endearing kind of weird, especially with her weird eyes.
After the events of the first book, Mewgull and Snotlout would hang out more and more. In secret, mind you, as Mewgull's eldest brother was not a fan of her seeing strangers. Mewgull never really talked with anyone, especially if they weren't Meatheads (the tribe her family was hiding with). Ragnvaldr had plans for Mewgull and another viking could easily put a wrench into that plan! She wasn't a warrior and didn't plan to raise her as one!
Still, Snotlout was eager to teach her a few things about being a Viking warrior and she enjoyed learning from him.
And the rest is history....Except you don't know what that is yet because I haven't published it but you're just gonna have to believe me.
epic cool author's notes lore:
I stuck with a pallet closer to Mewgull's original colors seen in my pre 2010 pictures with some slight tuning!
I've been shipping these two since I first read the book in 2007. I never knew why I loved shipping her with Shitface Shitlout but eventually he grew on me too when I got older. I genuinely think if it wasn't for him that she wouldn't have grown up with nearly as much confidence as she did. It became harder to develop their relationship as books came out...some reasons more obvious than others (keeping it spoiler free here) but I try to make it work. I actually like Snotlout a lot now and couldn't picture them ever being apart.
