Idk why people can't just say something casual to open on mxrp. People say the "Hey what's up" start is boring but like. Maybe you're boring? Give an interesting answer. My favorite thing is when m/c gives an answer that is interesting and could easily launch the rp if the person would just ask one single fucking question about anything I say but they ignore it. Like "oh I just got home actually!" "Cool." God I hate it. Wtf am I supposed to say to just "cool." It's like you don't even want to rp. Ask m/c where they were. Boom. Rp started. The most basic concept of any improv ever is asking questions and doing "yes, and".

My other favorite thing is when m/c asks what the other is doing and they're like "I'm sooo bored." Idk seems dead in the cradle to me. Seems like you're the boring one if you're starting an rp with "I'm bored" like holy shit be interesting then. Have even a drop of creativity or motivation. I message first in every chat and I carry nearly every chat on my back with partners who contribute nearly nothing. Which is only because if I don't, then I get zero rps. This goes for people who can't add interesting details if their life depended on it on cherp.

A lot of people also don't want to admit that maybe the problem is actually cherp/mxrp/etc and the fact that they're all anonymous. Do you want to improve the culture of the site? Do you want to cut down on the amount of predators? Of people ghosting?

Remove the anonymity. Anonymous websites are notoriously cesspools. Without accountability people think they can get away with anything and everything.

What if every prompt you made on cherp had a little username tag next to it? What if everytime you connected to someone on mxrp/dreambubble their username also popped up on the side?

The formats of both mxrp and cherp are, imo, unique and brilliant and worth preserving. But if you want to escape the toxic culture on both sites, you need a way where users are accountable for their actions by some form of recognizable reputation. It would solve so many of the problems with predators and every other issue the site has due to the user culture.

It's almost like these people who throw up a miles long trigger and DNI list and list and then never fucking use blocking or filtering tools aren't actually that upset by these things, especially not to the point of a trigger and they don't actually want solutions for their distress. Especially if the onus is on them in ANY way. If something is an honest to god, PTSD trigger then not muting or blocking things and people wouldn't even be an option for you.

Not to mention how fucking dumb it is to have all the things that make you most uncomfortable listed out in a pretty place for people to weaponize against you.

Shut the fuck up. You are all so unbearable. Not only do I not need to know that you're using me as a participant in some kind of pseudo-therapy but it's also inappropriate. Nobody cares. Nobody needs to know intimate details about your particular flavor of "pwoblems" on an anonymous roleplay site. It's weird and it shows that you have a complete lack of boundaries. I do not want to know that this is essentially a halfway self insert of your own feelings and issues.

Bonus points if they're like "Vriska has BPD because I'm projecting" like I KNOW you people are absolutely desperate for people to see your laundry list of diagnoses but have you ever considered just having friends instead? Tell them that shit. It's not relevant to the rp, it's intimate, personal information and I don't care or need to know. Make a Tumblr. Go to the vent channel in your uwu discord server. Why is this the information you feel the need to broadcast to people who have nothing to do with it? People in general need to exercise better judgement about what they say and do online.

I'm sure everyone disconnected immediately until they finally got the fuck over themselves and dropped it but I'm sometimes in awe of how stupid people are.

I've connected with you as several different characters and you sit there and wait for me to say something Every. Time. With a modifier like that, you HONESTLY want the other person to do all the work for you? You want me to read your mind and flesh out your idea for you? If you're unwilling to say anything OOC, you can't even manage a one-liner that sets the scene? God damn, some people on here are honestly lazy and just want everyone else to do all the work for them. It's amazing. Anyone with crazy modifiers like this who refuse to say anything are annoying, lazy idiots and I hope you don't have a single satisfying roleplay.
