It's December - my birthday month and the last month of 2016. Each December on a personal level I dive into a gratitude and a photo of the day challenge. This is my way of celebrating and ending the year in gratitude. This year I decided to switch it up a bit and make it 31 days of Reflection: Blessings & Lessons. Hope you join me in reflecting and celebrating all the blessings and lessons 2016 gave us. We will also be playing 21 Days of Giving as a company and community - I'll share more on that a little later. This month brings a lot of challenges... stretches that scare me, that I've been postponing and hesitating. It's the month I dive into different business models, trekking new grounds I've never tried before. With overwhelm and fears all around, I'm super excited for all the new things unfolding. Imagination and creativity is beautiful. But nothing happens if we don't have faith in our ability to see things, to create things. To love and be inspired faith is required. Knowledge is virtually at the top of our fingertips. But nothing happens if we don't take action to convert all that knowledge into wisdom. We are surrounded by so much beauty. Everywhere we look Fall reminds us of the beauty of impermanence. Seasons change, leaves shift colors right before the trees release. We bloom right where we are with the little or the much we might have. And then the moment is gone. And we'll never get that moment back. All we have left is the awareness of that moment. How we perceived that moment.. what we did with that moment. We let go. We breathe in the next moment. And yet our faith keeps us going.. our faith keeps us believing in the magic of this moment to come. Our ability to believe in something bigger than us, our faith to believe in ourselves and what's possible through us as open hearts and open channels. Our faith is what keeps us inspired. Excited for what's to come because our faith knows exactly what our hearts are capable of. Last couple days of November before we are in full gears of finishing the year and prepping for the new year. Been thinking a lot about Standing Rock and how this new moon approaching offers us a beautiful opportunity to atone and clear the space for a fertile year to come. What if we created a national holiday for forgiveness? What if that day was all about owning our mistakes as a nation? So we could truly turn the page as one. On an individual note, when we hold on to things, when we do things out of spite, when we simply assume the worst, all that energy is restricted. We resist the energy we are creating by allowing our pain to lead our thoughts, which in turn creates our reality. The emotional pain body that Tolle spoke about is real. There's a void and dissatisfaction that naturally brews within humans. It's a blessing and a curse. A blessing because that void propels us to create so much. And a curse because it never ends, the void will always be there. Some call it ego.. others call it the shadow of the mind. We all are here to fully feel that void in order to heal it.. and when we forgive, let go and truly atone for our mistakes, there's a veil that gets lifted from our eyes. We see the pain from a different perspective. We validate the stories as we've become clear on our requests and boundaries. We honor our shortcomings and ground our being in the fertile soils of humility. But the real beauty is when the perspectives become less dense and start to shift from a me to a we context.. and now there's a higher purpose to the story. As we forgive we're reminded of our true essence. We are whole, perfect and divine.. connected in One Spirit.
