Looking at my feed at the moment, I seem to be on a blue buzz 🐝 right now. Just saved these forget-me-nots from the overgrown nettles (ouch) on the small strip of wasteland outside our back fence. I’ve left plenty to help self-seed for next year and for the bees and insects to play with. They came from nowhere, so I’m excited to see them develop among the bluebells, Queen Anne’s lace, nettles, dead nettles, hogweed, bramble and grasses. Usually I have to go up the lane to forage them. Can I dry the poppy in the sun?

I had a case when poppies dried in the sun. At the same time, they became almost the same as in the case when I dried them in the attic.

Poppies do not have a bright color, like flowers, so they can be dried in the sun. Perhaps they will become more brown.

Experiment and find out which poppies you prefer the most - those that you dry in the sun or in a dark place.

But remember! Flowers (statice, immortelle and others) can not be dried in the sun!
