What Were Your Thoughts When You First Saw Drone X Pro For the First Time?
What were your thoughts when you first saw Drone X Pro for the first time? Like many of you, I was excited by the prospect of having a full body remote control for the camera hobbyist. Then I watched the first video and it hit me that this thing was not going to be much more than just another remote control toy. Then the sales man showed up and sold me on the idea that this was going to be the next professional level aerial camera.
So now I have my Drone X Pro ready to go for the first time. The first thoughts that came to mind were the same as they are for every new model that I have. "Is this the right time?" "Will this do what I need it to do?" But after spending about two hours with it and putting it through its paces, I am happy that I bought it.
Let's start with the first part of the question, is this the right time? It was a spur of the moment purchase. I had been saving up for something for quite some time and was really looking for a new hobby to get into. The perfect time to buy this would be right before Christmas. The best part is that I will still have a full month of January to use it. This leaves me plenty of time to make sure it fits in my plan!
Next, is it a professional grade Aerial Camera? For me, there is no doubt that this product can do it well. I like the fact that it comes with a flight simulator that allows me to do everything from get the right altitude, width and speed to control the direction of the camera. With this much hands on control, I can pretty much do anything with it that I desire.
Now, does it meet or exceed the requirements of the FAA? As an amateur pilot, I didn't think this would be a good product to invest in, but after reading a few reviews and talking to people I respect, it did. From personal experience, it flew flawlessly the first time and exceeded all my expectations.
So now I have to decide if I want to upgrade to the package which comes with two cameras, or invest the money into the one that I am using now. If you are like me and are into doing both, then I would recommend the camera and transmitter combo package. However, if you are more comfortable doing one thing, like filming with the goggles then I would go ahead and purchase the individual cameras. Just make sure that it has the same brand name as your TV remote control. If it doesn't have the same name then you can be sure that it will not work with your device.
After purchasing my Drones X Pro, I then had to make sure that I was comfortable using it. Like many of the other units I have researched, it has a very ergonomic design. It makes sense that someone who is trying to fly a drone is going to be very comfortable while they are doing it. It's just intuitive really. The controls are very easy to use and the view is clear and crisp. I liked that it also has a very powerful battery and that it charged up quickly.
All in all, I'm very happy with the way this camera operates. It's helped make videography a lot easier and a whole lot more exciting. I am sure that anyone who is thinking about getting into this field will be very happy with the choice they made and the results so far.
