Context: I'm the AO3 author they're referring to in the two screenshots. I posted a fic, made a Discord server, and advertised it in the notes of the fic (which means they would've had to click on/purposefully seek it out which also implies they were breaking their own countries' laws). The purpose of the server was to seek out more welcoming friends in the Professor Layton fandom due to this group being abusive and well, pro-censorship. They are directly referencing the server I made and thinking of spying on me (under an alt account). But outside of that, they were thinking of spying on a random person/group of people all because of perceived "nastiness", not to mention one of their own harassing someone. I also remember saying (in regards to the messages) about how "I could go into the server" (because I'm both the owner of the server and someone who could "spy" - which my plan was to make it appear difficult to get into the server).

No one commented or protested about me saying it (I don't have screenshots for this sadly). Of course, it could be that the conversation was finished. But even if it wasn't, why wouldn't you tell them, "no, we're not doing that". They could've exposed a child to an unsafe environment (as if they haven't already). Another member could have also been in said server to spy and report back - all without the others members knowing.

Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: The Frigid Melody A chance encounter on a northbound train leads Professor Layton and his young friend Luke to once again team up with the hapless lawyer Phoenix Wright, now accompanied by his sweet little daughter Trucy. At first, the Professor's latest mystery seems like a straightforward missing persons case, but after arriving in the haunted village of Fatargan, Layton and Phoenix soon realise that if they ever hope to make it out of here, they'll have to understand the village, its people, and each other. Word count: 154,319 (incomplete, 13 chapters posted out of 28 total)

DaKoolGuy saga. This is going to be long.

For context, DaKoolGuy was someone who as far as I'm aware was not in the server - at least no one stepped up and claimed to be him. He specifically wrote troll fan fictions within the Professor Layton AO3 tag with an original character (named "John Phoenix") from Ace Attorney. A majority of said fics regarded his OC being a predator hunter and/or a crime catcher. One of his first fics (unfortunately I do not have screenshots due to it being deleted before I could take any alongside being deleted) was called "To Catch A Layluke Shipper #drownout2020 #laylukeispedophilia #also i own this tag now and im not allowing weird sexual shit/underage shipping here. if you do that you will be removed from the tag, which i own wholly and by myself." which involved Chris Hansen arresting a AO3 author for being a Layton x Luke shipper. The fic directly stated the author's username as well. I believe it got removed from AO3 due to harassment.

The targeted AO3 author went on to make a mention of it in a fic of theirs (I have censored the username in red):

As for other instances, DaKoolGuy went on to spam a different AO3 author's comments (one comment section totaling around 34+ comments by him alone). This was prior to writing said troll fics.

Some members of the drownout2020 movement did comment under the troll fic though I only have two screenshots at the moment:

Regardless of whether or not DaKoolGuy was in the server or a direct part of the community: He did what was done behind closed doors in the drownout2020 server. Harass people. Drownout2020 promoted, condoned, and endorsed harassment. As much as they deny it wasn't that, it very much was.

DaKoolGuy also had a Twitter/X account but I do not remember the username.

Haven't logged into this account for a while and recently received this harassing message. Censored is a new name I use on Discord. I do not know who this could be outside of one of my abusers considering this blog's context. Not to mention the direct reference to a name while trying to identify me. I think it maybe kyoukalay based on the tone.

In reference to this post, I can accurately say the person censored in white is kyoukalay. While digging for screenshots, I found one wherein she directly calls an AO3 author (me on an alternate account) as "lying" about using dark fiction for trauma coping. I posted the screenshot (wherein she was censored with white) within a different server. The Discord conversation had me also copy and paste stuff from our DMs on the topic of an AO3 author's mental health.

The person in the second censored in red is me sending a link to one of the trollfics made by DaKoolGuy. The person blotted in bright in screenshots 3, 4, and 5 are all Mabellover/dahliapd. The sixth screenshot is a showcase of channels/the serious category within the server.

Screenshot provided by an anonymous source. For additional context, the fan character John Phoenix was used within troll fics by DaKoolGuy (possibly the person mentioned in the screenshot) directly harassing the AO3 authors. MabelLover/dahliapd is either ignorantly unaware of the implications of said original character OR is outwardly promoting a repeat harasser within the server. Once again, the drownout2020 server outwardly "didn't condone" said behavior (such as evidenced by their comments under a trollfic which were later deleted) yet were very much pro-harassment behind closed doors.

For anyone wondering about the drownout2020 server, I unfortunately do not have access to it anymore nor the people involved nor do I know what it has been rebranded into. It's entirely possible MabelLover may have just wiped everything (which can be taken into hiding evidence or just abandoning the movement). The last I heard (which was present in a screenshot from years ago) after I finally left it was being rebranded into a general Professor Layton server. It already had components of a fandom server (such as categories for the fanbase coupled serious categories tied to drownout2020).
