Hundreds of Chinese workers are camped near the rows of trucks lining the roadways. The flag of the People’s Republic of China flies high overhead. This isn’t Beijing, Shanghai, or Guangzhou; this is Jamaica.The Jamaican government has agreed to give the Chinese 1,200 acres of prime real estate to build three luxury hotels with 2,400 rooms in exchange for the construction of a 67 km (41.6 miles) north to south superhighway across Jamaica. The roadway, to be named the “Beijing highway” since Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt allegedly declined the offer to have it named after him, will have four lanes and cost just over $600 million. The highway with have tolls “and will eventually be lined with luxury hotels, restaurants and bars,” according to The Guardian. I post a lot to inform my people. I post some to educate. Other times I post to start dialogue. I’m no expert. Nor have I ever claimed to be. Some of my opinions vary from many others. A few strong, like minded individuals educate me daily.

But y'all folks, you know who you are, y'all dead wrong for the Dr. Umar Johnson harassing. Folks, black folks, invested so much energy and support to destroy this Black Man that the state that approved his deserving Doctorate after years of study are going to revoke it from his accomplishments.

You folks that never invested a dime for his school complained that he was taking too long to purchase. Folk that never donated their time were jealous that the Dr. could travel the world as free as he did. Some folk that don’t even have a relationship with their siblings were angry that the Dr. claim the Ancestor as kin…

Simple minded Black folk believe they championed their cause when the letter read the Dr. will possibly be stripped of his title. Shame on you.

Dr. Umar Johnson born of Cuban descent is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and Certified School Psychologist who is considered an expert on the education and mental health of Afrikan and Afrikan-American children. Dr.Umar, as he is known to friends, is a paternal blood relative of both the Great Abolitionist Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) and the late Bishop Alexander Wayman (1821-1895), 7th Bishop of the AME Church, both from Maryland's Eastern Shore. Dr.Umar is an educational diagnostician who specializes in special education issues. He is known most for his work in identifying mis-diagnosed learning disabled and ADHD students. As a child therapist, he works with depressed and behaviorally-challenged males. Dr.Umar is author of the new book "Psycho-Academic Holocaust: The Special Education and ADHD Wars Against Black Boys," the 1st book ever written by a African-American male school psychologist to Black parents with specific strategies on how to fight back against special education and ADHD. Dr.Umar also holds degrees in education and political science. He is one of the most requested speakers in the world, and has lectured in North America, South America, The Caribbean, Europe and Afrika. Dr.Umar is currently working on building his new school, The Frederick Douglass & Marcus Garvey RBG International Leadership Academy for boys.
