What Kaili appreciated about Drummond’s was their olympic-sized pool on the first floor. He appreciated the fact that it was more saltwater than the kind of pool water that was basically more chemicals than water. Kaili could feel the enzymes and bacteria, the same healing organisms he was well-acquainted with in the oceans, helping him heal. In no time, he believed, he would heal. His tail would heal and he would be back in the sea with his family. That or he could at least yell at them for leaving him to die. Those traitors can--- Before Kaili could complete swearing at his family in his head, he heard a set of footsteps invading his privacy. Sure, the pool was for public consumption, and by that he meant the public in Drummond’s, but he made the painstaking effort to keep tabs on what time no one else would be around. Did he overstay his peace? Or was someone else in need of a rejuvenating swim out of the blue? “I’m not wearing anything down here. Come back later.”
