“You are totally sloshed.”

The exclamation slipped out of his mouth louder than most likely intended, the late bounce in his vox already enough to confirm what Laki had just been stating correctly.
The concept of becoming intoxicated, purposefully or not, was something that actually went against Freed’s distinct need to keep the control in most situations, and a clear mindset. Perhaps it was the familiar, safe environment and company that had made it easier to let go over time and have some casual fun; in this case in form of a not exactly rare guild party and with the unfortunately low tolerance for alcohol the Raijinshuu’s captain possessed it could be ridiculously easy to have him slip into such a condition if he wasn’t watching himself enough, or got tempted too much.
Be it because Cana (once again) convinced him to ‘take one or two’ shots with her or, what transpired even rarer than him being outright hammered anyway, he had his own private reasons to get his mind off things and whether one wanted to admit it or not, alcohol was able to soothe such worries in at least nine out of ten cases.
Right now however, Freed was supporting himself on the bar counter with one hand, body feeling heavy and pulling him forward a little. Head swaying barely visible, the man’s cheeks puffed out slightly as he suppressed a soft burp before he caught his facial expression and sent a tiny glare Laki’s way. Sloshed, pah! He wasn’t anywhere near sloshed!
Or that’s at least what he was trying to fool himself with in his silly state and grabbing his almost empty glass he made an effort to strut past his guild mate. “’m gonna go lead a fruitful conversation now.”
