i've got stardew on the brain but you're at the bar with sebastian. Sam and Abigail have long since left, and at this point you're both closing down the bar with Shane and Pam. Seb demolishes you at pool, again, and you're both cleaning up the table. You're getting the last of the balls out of the pocket and he reaches past you for the triangle rack. you can feel the heat radiating off him, and the fabric of his sweatshirt brushes against the bare spot of your lower back where your tshirt rode up just a lil bit. startled by the feeling, you turn suddenly and find his face inches from your own.
"Sorry," he mumbles, a flush crawling up his face.
maybe it's the lights, or maybe it's the couple of drinks you had throughout the night, but goddamn if he doesn't look adorable and that has you acting on impulse.
Your lips press against the soft skin of his cheek, and a heat crawls up your neck. this close you can also smell smoke and a hint of citrus from his astringent heavy-duty soap that cuts through the grease and grime of working on his motorcycle.
And fuck if only you could leave your head in the crook of his neck and inhale him for a solid minute. if he asks, you're going to blame it on the drink. yup. 100% the ciders you had.
His brows furrow together.
Shit.
"You missed," he says.
"What?" you tilt your head to the side. Not the reaction you were expecting.
"I said." He steps closer so you're sandwiched between the pool table and him. He leans down, his lips ghosting yours. His words feather across your skin. "You missed."
You melt against his touch; his lips against yours, hands skimming up your arms to cradle your jaw, the edge of his hip pressed against yours. The kiss simultaneously slows time and ends too soon. You can only measure it through the rhythm of your heartbeats.
Your cells scream for him more than oxygen when you finally separate.
Sebastian takes a step back and shoves his hands in his pockets. "Walk you home?"
Not trusting your voice or what will come out of your mouth, you nod and follow him out of the saloon.
