Joey has manners and etiquette which he retains.  For example, to name a few, he chews with his mouth closed, gives his thanks people for their services, opens the door for ladies and men, opens the door for the elderly. If there was something his grandmother was keen on her grandson learning, it was how to be ‘gentleman’. 

Unfortunately, such manners/etiquette don’t extend to…certain aspects of his life.
