So in the DSMP x Warriors AU, how does Ranboo go from Rainpaw to Twoface? Usually it has to be a big event for some cat’s name to get shifted like that.

Yeah, a lot of the time stuff like warrior names can also be attributed to how a leader names cats, (Firestar loves legacy naming iirc) but in Ranboo's case, it was basically done as a callout/punishment.

Around the time of benchtrio's warrior ceremony Ranboo/Rainpaw had been hanging out with Crow & Boar (Phil & Techno) a lot bc of their doubts about clan life and if it suits them.

They were already somewhat planning on leaving the clan, it was just tough for them to find the time to do so when they couldn't figure out how to say goodbye to/leave behind Beepaw & Loudpaw (Tubbo & Tommy) or their mentor, Pinkflame (Niki) who's always been kind & patient with them.

By the time of benchtrio's warrior ceremony, Rainpaw's habits of visiting the "dangerous no-good rogues" had made it's way to the leader (Wilbur, named either Burrstar or Sootstar I've yet to make a final decision on that-) who btw acts sort of like Pogtopia Wilbur during this time (since benchtrio join the clan at the same time dsmp canon gets jumbled a lot so please bear with me)

He decides to not tell Rainpaw he knows what they've been upto until the very moment he gives him their warrior name, basically condeming them as a traitor in front of the whole clan and naming them Twoface.

Also, fun detail about the name Rainpaw under the cut bc jeez I'm writing too much

So, the name Rainpaw for Ranboo's fun, first of all it just sort of fits Ran-boo, Rain-paw, but of course, rain is something very not great for c!Ranboo right? Ofc as just, wild cats, water doesn't hurt Ranboo (though I fully believe they'd be a dry paw, not know how to swim n heavily dislike wet fur but I digress)

Warrior life is something Ranboo finds uncomfortable pretty soon after joining the clan with Tommy & Tubbo, everything abt it from how the clans seem to constantly prepare for a war or have scuffles, or just the idea of being constantly watched and judged by Starclan.

So if that made any sense I just made their apprentice name tied to smthn the character finds uncomfortable bc they find all of clan life uncomfortable? yeah

Like Benchtrio's warrior name ceremony is so oh my,,, so many thoughts,,, makes me wanna rename Tubbo but the beef light confusion is so so funny- but Tommy & Ranboo's apprentice/warrior names make me explode n I want the same care for Tubbo's but uuuwwwh????
