Gig diary #45: 31/07/04 Duckfest, Ducklington
Psychid, Smilex, The Evenings, Sexy Breakfast, Bridge, The Mono Effect, Three Litre, The Souls, Rebus, Euclid played the first annual Duckfest in Ducklington, Oxon.
Little tiny festival in a tiny field near a tiny village in Oxfordshire. Lovely little village fete type feel to it though. This show sticks in the mind for Evenings keyboard player Seb's kit malfunctioning. His reaction was to kick all his keyboards off stage onto the grass, then get off the stage and kick them some more. During the set, while the rest of us were playing. He managed to get his big Yamaha keyboard fixed afterwards. Thing must've been made of tank metal to basically survive a six-foot drop and a kicking and still be repairable.
