Ichiban Boshi for dinner today as everywhere else in Suntec was so crowded! Here's what we had: Kamo Seiro (Chilled Buckwheat Noodles with Duck Meat & Broth) - $15.90 Since the Ichiban Boshi Suntec outlet proclaimed that soba was their speciality dish, I decided to try it for once. Suffice to say, I was not too impressed. The portion of soba is relatively small while the duck Broth is very light. You have to soak the soba in for quite awhile before it absorbs some of the taste or else it's very tasteless. The duck meat was generous but relatively tough for chewing. Don't bother with the soba-yu inside the red pot and DON'T pour it into your dipping sauce as instructed or it will spoil the taste totally (yes, I tried it). Would not recommend or order this again. Rather stick to their yummy curry rice next time! Chicken Katsu Don - $10.90 The bf is a die hard fan of chicken katsu don and he gave the Ichiban Boshi version a thumbs up. Watching him scoff it down..yeah he really liked it. Half Curry Udon - $6.90 Luckily the bf was really hungry so he ordered another curry udon which I then promptly polished off half of it. Tasty, flavorful and just the right amount to keep you full! Total paid was $43.75 for all 3 dishes which is prettt average. Okay, anw now off to watch Finding Dory!
