#tbt São Paulo 2009 #brazil is my second home. As a child, I spent months at a time there. I took my first steps in Brazil. I got my first kiss in Brazil. I found my first real #friends Aka #family. #saopaulo is massive. Founded in 1554 it's the 12th largest city in the world. As I gazed out in wonder from the top of this building, I saw both #nature and #metropolis spread out in 360 degrees. It's hard to maintain faith in humanity sometimes. We devour and we exploit. But we also #create and #evolve - I miss my home. Circumstances have kept me away for too long, but I'm finally planning my return thanks that excellent excuse #love specifically the kind that brings people together, and I'm ecstatic to see my cousin take that step. #gratitude #wanderlust #duelcitizenship #theprodigaldaughter #willreturn (at São Paulo, Brazil)

I don't know how many of you know this, but I hold dual citizenship. I was born and raised in the United States and gained Thai citizenship through my parents. The future of both nations concerns me deeply as both countries are about to see a change in leadership. Thailand has been the US's longest standing ally in Asia and I hope the relationship continues.
