I'll never get over the "censorship" of Duke Nukem 64. Like seriously how the fuck are boobs not ok but tearing out a woman's ribcage and doing and dangling them with her bloody entrails beneath her is?

How is this violently dismembered body more acceptable than a natural part of the female form?

How is this a better solution than just adding clothes to them?

The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - “Um Sonho de Liberdade” 🇧🇷 - is an incredible movie. Perhaps one of the best ever made. If you haven’t seen this film, go away from here to avoid 🚨SPOILER🚨 and WATCH the film. It’s worth it. That said…

In Dukem Nukem 3D (1996) game, at a certain point (level 3 of the first episode), you will end up in a prison and need to get out of it. Paying homage to the film, your exit is in one of the cells behind a poster.

As you pass through it, you end up finding a sewage system, exactly where the character in the film reaches his freedom.

Details like this are what make this game so incredible to this day (just like the movie 🙂).

Using a Toshiba Libretto 70CT as a DOS gaming console (WASD and the "trackpoint" is a way better setup for Duke3D than the default one -  even on this machine)

I’ve always been fascinated by computer generated music. Even something like Elite managed to squeak out On The Beautiful Blue Danube through the PC speaker, which I think may have even been the first time I’d heard the piece. Perhaps it’s because even early computers let me play music on demand more easily than other devices of the time. Or maybe I just like the sound of electronic music in general. 

The MIDI era of computing produced a variety of professional and consumer level devices. Of course the best use for these is for gaming! Over the years I’ve picked up (and sadly lost) quite a few legendary pieces of equipment. In more recent years the Roland SC-55 Sound Canvas being the crown jewel. I’ve also got more exotic other devices like the OPL2LPT which is effectively an Adlib card, but can be attached through the parallel port to older machines. I thought it would be nice to share recordings of this hardware with other computer music nerds like myself. This is my first attempt. I can certainly record from more devices, record for longer and various other improvements. But I at least wanted to make a start and this is it. I hope you enjoy
