Unfinished art of Dulentear! Noelle & Dess

This is pretty unfinished but I felt like drawing designs for Dulentear!Noelle and Dulentear!Dess from before the horrors of my AU took place!

December and Noelle were both princesees of The Tundrest that were ruled by their parents, King Rudolph and Queen Caroline and everything seemed to be going well...

Well, until Dess decided to sell her soul to become The Knight and attempted to kill all the Deltarulers before they got too powerful (a very poor attempt btw, as the Deltarulers all survived and became even MORE tyrannical) which lead to The Great Deer Hunt, leaving the now-exiled Noelle as the last remaining deer alive and Dess' soul was banished in darkness for all eternity after her deal was up.

Sooo yeah, things don't really end well for these two, or practically anyone in Dulentear. 😬

Another version without the outlines, I took this on my phone so it isn't the best at capturing all the little details but I am pretty proud of how I rendered this, I might just change the outlines a little to better match the colours.

Also I think I might've made Dess' Antlers a little too big, I might need to shrink them down when I finished

A close-up of December Holiday, I just find her really pretty and cool! I had an idea of giving her devils pitchfork-shaped antlers and that she dyed/painted her antlers red as their natural colour is blue (like Carols).

Dess is not like the rest of her royal lineage, she in her attempts to stop disaster ends up becoming the root cause of said tragedy occuring.

Don't go selling your soul to a man you should beware of who speak in hands, kiddos! 😎

Dulentear!Noelle

' The Lonely Princess of fallen snow. '

The design for Princess Noelle from my AU Dulentear, considered the last remaining deer who only managed to survive The Great Deer Hunt by fleeing from her home kingdom (The Tundrest) and shaving down her antlers into flat stumps as her kind were no longer welcome in any of the 8 realms of Dulentear, since the day The Knight had attacked the Deltarulers.

She doesn't know what truly happened to her family, only through the whispers and rumors of guards and locals she was hiding from. King Rudy grew too sick to rule and was frozen in ice, Queen Carol was deposed from her status as Captain Undyne was brought in to fill her place as Deltaruler of The Tundrest and Princess December.... Was never seen or heard of again.

Everything only kept getting worse from there until she crossed paths with a human courier by the name of Ulris who carried a strange package on their back. Ulris didn't know about The Knight, didn't know she was the ex-princess of The Tundrest or why she was running, all they did was offer her a place to walk alongside them to keep a companion in a world that crushed the weak and kind.

A full image of Noelle post-exile Dulentear design and a concept sketch of Princess Noelle before everything happened, she looked happy. I still can't really figure out what I want her pre-exile outfit to look like but Dulentear is my AU and things are bound to change.

(By the time of writing this, I have already figured out her pre-exile outfit, pretty much every part of her look had changed except for her hair)

Remembering this coloured doodle I drew of Dulentear!Undynes head

She has a little crown thingy since she's the Empress of The Tundrest! Her fin ears have seen better days to say the least...

No, that isn't a weird looking eye patch. It's actually a pretty gnarly injury Undyne got when The Knight sliced her right eye open (and a little bit more of that).

Undyne should've died from her darkness-inflicted wound like the four other characters who were not Deltarulers at the time of The Knights attack, but Undyne bore through it and when she received the title of Empress and became Deltaruler, she no longer needs to worry about death! Though her scar still bleeds from time to time...

In Dulentear, when The Knight attacks someone, it leaves a permanent mark on that beings soul, meaning that no matter what you use or try on it, it will never EVER heal itself back to normal again which is a horrible scenario for any of the Deltarulers as they are powerful beings who are immortal. So Undyne and the other Deltarulers just had to hide their void-inflicted injuries extremely well from the public and bear through the pain, they already give it to their subjects so why should they?

Also another alternate image! I can't really decide on whether or not the Deltarulers injuries should stay as these pitch black pits of emptiness or have small sparkles of light in them, maybe I can make it a mix of both? Idk, Undyne is just an example though this is what she does look like without her helmet on in my Dulentear AU!

I feel like I should make an ask blog for my Dulentear AU but I don't really know how I could make that work?

Like I had an idea that the vibe and setting of the blog could change depending on where Ulris (The main protagonist of Dulentear, basically Dulentear!Kris) travels to each of the different seven realms of Dulentear in search of the recipient of the mysterious package they carry on their back and on most occasions, a Deltaruler from that location would take control of the blog temporarily as some kind of evil Deltaruler takeover before returning back to Ulris and the rest of their companions.

Maybe I should just allow people to also me questions on my AU instead as soon as I get all the designs finished as Dulentear, despite it's pretty wild lore is still not quite finished yet and there's still so much I'd like to explore first.

Just remembering that I haven't drawn any designs for Dulentear! Sans and Dulentear! Papyrus in my Dulentear AU yet! I'm such a fake au writer bro I gotta draw those two or else my au ain't real no more 😭

If you told me to describe my Dulentear AU, it would be...

A teenaged human named Ulris has to deliver a package through seven different lands but has no idea who it belongs to and has the worst day of their life trying to find them because everyone either wants to kill them, a tyrant who also wants to kill them or are too good for this world.

THE HEROES OF DULENTEAR - An utdr AU

A mage of darkness, a human courier, a runaway princess and a cold-blooded warrior.

On Ulris' treacherous journey throughout the seven worlds that are filled with danger and cruelty, they end up finding new companions along the way and suddenly, delivering such a heavy package doesn't feel quite as heavy anymore...

I felt like finally drawing Larise (Dulentear!Ralsei), Ulris (Dulentear!Kris) and Dulentear!Noelle and Dulentear!Susie sitting side by side from my AU and I feel like colouring it digitally later!

Larise/Ralsei probably took the most time to draw as I was still figuring out a design for him but I did enjoy drawing Susie the most! She looks badass with short hair and I think Noelle agrees 👀

P.S, the * located next to Noelles Princess title is placed there because Noelle is no longer a princess and the reason why her antlers are gone/little nubs is because she shaved them off when she went into hiding.
