The flavors and textures in these tasty dumplings go together perfectly. They're delicious as an appetizer or as a full meal.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup water. 1/2 pound ground pork. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1/2 cup chopped green onions. 1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage. 1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine flour and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix ground pork, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, cabbage, mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cut it into small circles using a cookie cutter or a glass. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough in half to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges by pinching them together. Steam the dumplings for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
