Ingredients: 1 cup finely chopped cabbage. 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots. 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms. 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, grated. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 teaspoon rice vinegar. 1/2 teaspoon sugar. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 package dumpling wrappers about 30 wrappers. Water for sealing dumplings.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger. In a separate small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour this sauce over the chopped vegetables and mix well. Take a dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of the wrapper. Dip your finger in water and wet the edges of the wrapper to help seal it. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape, then pinch and seal the edges together, making pleats along the edge for decoration. Repeat this process for the remaining wrappers and filling. Place the dumplings in a steamer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other. Steam the dumplings over boiling water for about 10-12 minutes or until the wrappers become translucent and the filling is cooked through. Serve the steamed vegetable dumplings hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
