A juvenile Molgera, the mini-boss of the Mountain’s Heart Dungeon in my fic. This worm made its nest in the industrial sand of an abandoned foundry and grew to the size of a small plane while it waited for prey to drop into its pit.
The ReDead of Gaebora Bluesmith, a man who died in the bowels of Death Mountain while leading an evacuation of the furnaces built into it. He lay in the control room he’d been crushed in for fifty years until the abandoned facility around him was transformed into a puzzle-box and his corpse was reanimated by wicked magic.
Gleeok Chimera Ignikanos, the boss of the Mountain’s Heart dungeon in my fic. This snake/phoenix/dragon abomination crafted by Vaati is responsible for super-heating the inside of Death Mountain and causing it to spew enough lava to flood Gorons out of their homes. Its main attacks are spitting acid that turns rocks to lava and blowing hurricanes, and its scales make it invulnerable to all attacks. The only way to beat it is to crack its middle head’s mask open and attack the bald spot underneath.
The first Hero’s Trail in my fanfic! It’s one of many obstacle courses built by a Hero of Hyrule whose claim to fame was being the first Hylian to utilize and expand upon the uses of Sheikah Bluestone, kicking off the blending of Sheikah and Hylian society in this era. This shortcut is built into caverns of Death Mountain, traversed using a Grappling Hook or a Whip, tools commonly used by adventurers. If one can survive swinging across the lava and climbing the tower in the next cavern, it’s a quick way to reach the top of the volcano!
Fraternal twins Gaebora and Kaepora Bluesmith worked at the Death Mountain Lightware Facility 50 years before said facility became the Mountain’s Heart dungeon in my fic. When the facility was invaded by monsters, Kaepora managed to escape, but Gaebora was crushed in a collapse of the control room he was directing evacuation efforts from. Half a century later, Kaepora has a fated grandchild named Link, while Gaebora’s cursed, ReDead corpse still haunts the control room he died in...
A Gleeok Hatchling, the deadly spawn of the boss of the Mountain’s Heart dungeon in my fanfic. These baby dragons haven’t grown their legs or wings yet, but already have their parent’s ability to breathe hurricane winds and spit venom that melts stone into lava! Because their metal scales can break swords, the only ways to beat them are slashing the feather-tipped end of their tail or cracking open their masks and attacking their bald spot.
A couple kinds of Gerudo NPCs, as they appear in my fic! Gerudo in this setting (early Sheikah Civilization) are still ruled by kings and have the wide shoulders and narrow hips of OoT-era Gerudo, but stand at an average of 6′10″. Gerudo Blue Houses are magically air-conditioned cold spas located mainly in extra-hot regions of Gerudo Desert, serving both as places to pamper oneself and as emergency medical centers for those suffering from heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
The Dragon Fang Necklace needed to reach the Mountain’s Heart dungeon (Level 5) of my fic. Crafted using three fangs from Endraal, the Spirit of Eldin and predecessor to Dinraal, this piece of equipment protects its wearer’s body, weapons, and clothing from the ambient heat of Death Mountain. It does not protect from fire or lava, however, so it’s best used alongside protective clothing.
