Me too! Im glad she stood her ground and didnt excuse his behaviour as just unresolved trauma/loud thoughts. And Im glad Carmy apologised and is getting help through al-anon. It’s the healthy thing to do for both of them, smh at anyone who thinks this relationship is toxic.

My Claire headcanon is that she and Syd become pretty good friends after Syd’s dads heart attack. Maybe Claire was available to help Syd with his recovery and then Syd invited her for coffee/lunch as a thank you and now they just randomly get coffee together. Also I think Claire and Tiff have a big sister/little sister relationship (from the photos in 2x1) and if Claire and Carmy get back together, thats how Tiff gets to keep spending holidays/celebrations with the Berzattos (because we know she doesn’t really have biological family).

Would love for someone to write Carmy teaching Claire to cook a la pottery scene from Ghost! But its very sweet and romantic and hes super patient with her.

yeah!!! and oughhhh the scene when they're at tiffs wedding and talking about their fears under the table and before they slow dance. like i don't really see the 'toxic' aspect people are talking about, or 'unbalanced' is another nicer way i saw the way people talked about carmen and claire. they're the kind of couple to me that like even though they split up they still so obviously love each other and can come back to each other after time passes.

LOVE AND AGREE with your claire headcanons!! i also live life thinking especially now after syd's dad's heart attack that they're friends - maybe not besties (yet, perhaps?) but i can see them leaning on each other and being good support when they need to vent about stuff. i think they're so sweetieful. also SO CUTE for the tiff and claire headcanon my heart 🥺

claire to me i think if you want to talk about 'negative' traits i think she on her own, at least when she was younger and going through med school and whatnot i think she was a chronic overachiever. and i think that those behaviors maybe still some up here and there but like with the way she is in the show, she definitely has grown to be a healthier person and to deal with burnout maybe all in the time before we see carmy and claire interact for the first time. claire is a lovely little ray of sunshine but i do think she has suffered deep dark days with it but has gotten better. (also could be me projecting as a kinnie.)

Claire has literally never wronged anyone ever. Like how do you look at someone that everyone likes and think she’s toxic. And dont get me wrong I love Carmy, but Claire’s not the one carrying around undiagnosed ptsd. Also the lack of dunzatto fanfic is killing me

so far she hasn't!!! she's such a sweet angel. i adore her so bad. i really liked her conversation with him in this newest season (if youve seen it!) when they're having the talk in front of her and kelly's house. i am sure (and need to make headcanons about) claire + her own stuff, but carmy has a lot of unresolved trauma/ptsd that he needs to address and he's been making such like good progress in his meetings !!
