it's a retro shooter that i would consider far more accessible than the games that inspire it; not as inscrutable and one-note as Quake but also often not as ball-bustingly difficult as Blood

dusk will require you to get good at it, but that won't entail throwing yourself at the proverbial brick wall over and over

hey thanks! in that same vein as Dusk, Amid Evil is pretty damn good too! it's reminiscent of games like hexen and heretic where it has a fantasy loadout that functions like ranged weapons but still feels like melee weapons which fucks. i cannot overstate how much Amid Evil fucks.

also it's a new blood game, which means it also has Hulshult on the soundtrack. and they're also still coming out with new Amid Evil content.
