Small Bedroom Habits That Keep Dust from Building Up
Keeping dust away isn’t about one big cleaning day — it’s about consistent small habits that stop it from building up in the first place.
Daily dust-fighting habits:
Make your bed each morning to shake out dust and prevent buildup.
Put clothes away instead of leaving them in piles.
Wipe nightstands and surfaces with a microfiber cloth.
Weekly maintenance habits:
Wash bedding and pillowcases.
Vacuum carpets, rugs, and under the bed.
Rotate and air out pillows.
Following the steps from how to prevent dust in bedroom plans means you’re always ahead of the dust — making your deep cleaning days faster and easier.
Keep your home fresh with help from Immaculate Clean, your go-to cleaning service Maryland for spotless, healthy bedrooms.
Prevention Against Sensor Dust
In a word - prevent.
Simply put, cleaning those sensitive sensors will always be both costly and time-consuming, not to mention running the risk of scratching it while performing the task.
I have lately been adopting the following techniques to greatly reduce this unavoidable problem, and it seems to be working
Use only prime lens (ie. fixed focal length glass) whenever possible. I find all my three 50mm lens perfect in most scenario.
Point your zoom lens downward when retracting the lens barrel slowly
Lock your lens (applicable for lens like Nikkor 28-300mm VR or Nikkor 18-300mm VR) to prevent lens creep which indirectly increases the frequency to retract your lens
Acquire lens that do not extend or retract with zooming (ie. Nikkor 70-200mm F/4 VR III)
Change lens only in your hotel or home, never in an outdoor environment
Get your pro glass regularly serviced to replace ass rubber gasket and seal every 3 years
