Glad it was to your liking, nonnie! I kind of tried to stick to the original design as much as possible, but also wanted to draw them in my own style. I was worried they'd come out too handsome, haha.
It's really the way I see the protagonists of each series. Bouya has always been the cool one despite being a little goofy sometimes, and Hana is just a certified cutie. From the first chapter I got the feeling that Hibari is closer to Hana than to Bouya, but then again this might be more of a childhood prologue, and we're yet to see his Suzuran personality.
I should be drawing more fanart, but I'm always a little hesitant because I feel like my style ruins the original appeal too much. :')
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next chapters & wondering who's going to make a comeback from the previous series!

Hello anon! Very late to respond, my apologies for that. I found it a little funny that I'd gotten several asks regarding the sequel, even though I had already mentioned it in my CxW Japan haul post. I'm guessing most people missed it, haha.
I've read the first chapter and I'll say it's better than what I had expected. I was a little unsure - the new style felt somewhat younger, softer, and the title strayed from the symbolism - but I see now that it works out just fine. I'm very curious to see more of this novel perspective and worldbuilding, as it appears to focus much more on the city compared to the previous series.
The translator has mentioned they'll be doing only 2-3 more chapters, then wait for the full volume to be released in May. Thankfully this will count as my Japanese practice - I've already made an account on the platform so I can read the ongoing original. Young Champion also hosts several other titles I haven't read yet, like Junk Rank Family, so I'm looking forward to everything!
